The SIG-Sauer P320 is probably the most searched of firearms on Google and the most popular handgun on the market right now. I don’t believe that there are many who would disagree with that statement. Make no mistake, the P320 was popular before the U.S. Army concluded their Modular Handgun System program and named the striker-fired SIG the winner. The key word there – and stone cold fact – being modular. I was fortunate enough to be allowed to borrow a full-size 9mm P320 from a friend recently. I must say; this SIG platform continues to leave an impression on me. I have had the opportunity to fire several 9mm Compacts and one .45 ACP Compact, in the past.
Since 2010, we’ve seen a rise in focus on college campus politics. Battles over Campus Carry, the spread of speech intolerances (so called: “Microaggressions” in speech patterns) and the growth of the Safe Space culture — which was told off recently by the Uni. of Chicago.
As a college student, it was easy to comes to terms with how badly this could go in regards to the future of the Republic. I came to the conclusion that, right now, college campuses are the Petri dishes of what the United States could become. A majority of college campuses do not allow for self defense, they abide by the unconstitutional Gun-Free School Zones Act and they support limits on speech on certain topics.
This past month, I received my Concealed Handgun License, after it was released by the “Constitutional Restraint Unit”. No disrespect to the state police, but it’s asinine that anybody has to pay a ransom to obtain a Constitutionally-protected human right. That aside, just before July began, I picked up a SIG-Sauer P229 Scorpion TB for carry… which meant a whole new holster system. It was a clear departure from the Glock and Edge Works INCOG set-up that I had been running — mostly due to the fact that the Glock sponsored the SIG’s purchase.
