If you are willing to learn, you will learn every single day of your life. If you are analytical, you will learn to tell the difference between what is fraud and what is truth. Unfortunately, not everybody is so keen on conscious learning throughout their lifetime. We see this if you were to set down a firearm on the table in front of someone like myself and someone who is wholeheartedly anti-firearms. Quite a few of the latter will be frozen solid with fear of what is nothing more than an inanimate object, and this is common knowledge. But, there is something about this reaction that is somewhat disingenuous.

Decisions on the Dedicated Handgun

There are many options on the market, for one to choose from, when it comes to thinking about their go-to self-defense handgun. I can walk into any of my local firearms dealers today and find display cases awash with various handguns. The question that each new shopper faces is; ‘which one is the one?’. We all have our reasons for the handguns that we end up choosing and I have my complaints about some of those methods; such as relying on the dealer’s salesperson for advice or buying third-rate gear when one more paycheck could’ve gotten them something tried and true. I’ll share some of my experiences and learning from over the years, as a civilian shooter.

The Fine Line

This weekend has been an absolute rollercoaster ride through Hell for many people. Two law enforcement engagements with civilians in Louisiana (July 5th) and Minnesota (July 6th) lead to many protests around the United States. This included the protest that occurred in Dallas on the night of the 7th of July where one armed man committed to killing as many white police officers as he could while the Dallas officers kept an eye on a Black Lives Matter protest. Furthermore, Dallas Police Chief David Brown reported that the gunman “had larger plans”.
